The 2026 Cape Coast, Ghana Pilgrimage brought together 23 pilgrims from the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina for a sacred journey of reflection, healing, and spiritual renewal.
Centered on the themes Respect, Restore, and Realign, pilgrims honored the legacy of those who traveled the Transatlantic Slave Trade while deepening their commitment to faith, reconciliation, and racial healing.
Now in its sixth pilgrimage, and continuing under The Absalom Jones Episcopal Center for Racial Healing, participants shared worship, prayer, and powerful moments of remembrance and transformation.
Looking ahead, applications for the 2027 Cape Coast, Ghana Pilgrimage are expected to open in June 2026. The 2027 pilgrimage is scheduled for April 11-19, 2027.
