THE CENTER'S HISPANIC/LATINO HERITAGE CELEBRATION, ASKS THE QUESTION:  "AND WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR?"

2024 Hispanic Heritage MonthMC.png

On the morning of Saturday, October 5, the Center opened its doors to a variety of local and national groups who are doing the hard work of advancing Immigration in an incredibly divided state and country.

The planners of the event recognized how easy it can be to lose hope amidst the ongoing struggle and  unhelpful and divisive rhetoric around the issue.  The answer was:  in service.  In a number of short segments, organizations like the Latin America Alliance, La Amistad, Circle of Care, and Team Libertad shared their stories of hope in the face of great challenge:  it's in the relationships we form with those we are helping and with each other.

In answer to the question, "And who is my neighbor?" the answer is 'everyone.'  All of us are neighbors in God's good creation.
