2025 DISMANTLING RACISM SCHEDULE

Dismantling Racism training seeks to increase "racial understanding, healing and reconciliation." It is offered several times throughout the year and is required for all parish clergy and all lay leaders, including vestry members.  Trainings are offered by The Absalom Jones Episcopal Center for Racial Healing.
 

​Please read the following information for more details about the training.

 

• The Dismantling Racism Training is held online via Zoom from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT.

• There are two 10 minute breaks during the class and a 30 minute lunch break.

• Each class is limited to 20 people. No more than six people from the same parish/organization can take the class on the same day.

• There is no fee for those that are members or staff with the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta.

• There is a $50.00 fee for those outside of or not affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta.

To participate in the online training:

• You will need access to video and audio capabilities on your computer or mobile device. To make the classes run more smoothly, please check these capabilities are functioning before the day of your class.

• If two or more people in the same home/building are taking the class on the same day, they must be on separate devices in different rooms. Sorry, we cannot make exceptions.

Class registration is based on first-come, first-served.
